Elements and their symbolism in shamanism

In traditional philosophy, its followers know the 8 elements.

Water. The primary element. In the legends of most religions, the creation of the world begins with water. Water is a colossal feminine energy, it can create and destroy. As with any element, a shaman can and should interact with it. Water is the only substance that naturally resides in all three aggregate states - solid, liquid and gaseous. The simplest ritual to get rid of negative energy is bathing in a river, or even just a shower.

Fire. Can feed and destroy, revive life and destroy everything to the ground. In shamanism, fire has a feminine beginning the Mother of Fire Ot Imai wise and merciful, but requires respect and dignified attitude.

Wind. Catching the wind with your body, you can get a disease in the form of aching joints and bones, apathy, weakness. Mood swings "wind in the body". You can get in tune with the wind element in the mountains.

Earth. Element, cleansing and restoring strength. Symbol of reliability and immobility. The foundation of life. According to legend, we were born from the earth, in the earth go after our death.

Tree. Gives us oxygen, without which we cannot survive. Through interaction with the element, ancestral cleansing, traveling to the Valley of the Spirits and filling with the knowledge of the ancestors are carried out. If you are tired, give a sincere and strong hug to a tree. To strengthen your spirit, lean on a tree with your back, merging with it with your essence. The tree of the Lower World is pine and all conifers, the tree of the Upper World is birch, the tree of the Middle World is poplar and all deciduous trees.

Stone. A symbol of stability and indestructibility. Gives power, but how much of it can you carry at one time? To get close to the element, go to the mountains. Stones are the guides from which amulets are created. A dzi bead, the strongest amulet, is a stone.

Metal. A symbol of cold, but this cold can also warm. A lot of metal around a shaman: it is his mirror, and bells, and the trim of the costume. It is important that this metal is stainless, and the objects themselves are forged. Wrought iron is very much feared by all evil beings.

Shaman is the last of the known elements. Shaman is ruled by spirits, with them he consults, this he shows his power. A shaman can manifest himself as an element, helping people, maintaining balance and equilibrium in nature, not to harm and not to refuse help.

In shamanic philosophy there are no main and secondary elements they are all equal and important. Take away one of them the balance and equilibrium will be disturbed. By showing our respect for each equally, we take care of ourselves and others. By ignoring the laws of the Universe, we bring misfortune and discord to the way of life we have followed for many millennia.
